Title: Director of Business Development – Discovery Chemistry and Biology Services

If so, we invite you to join our team as a Sales Representative focused on promoting and selling our cutting-edge Discovery Chemistry and Biology Services to small to midsize biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

**Responsibilities:**

– Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth within the assigned territory, targeting small to midsize biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

– Identify and proactively seek out potential clients and new business opportunities through research, networking, and attending industry events.

– Understand each client’s unique needs and challenges, and effectively communicate how our Discovery Chemistry and Biology Services can address their specific research and development requirements.

– Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in client organizations, including scientists, researchers, project managers, and C-level executives.

– Collaborate closely with our scientific and technical teams to understand the capabilities of our services, ensuring accurate and compelling communication of our value proposition to clients.

– Prepare and deliver engaging presentations, proposals, and quotes highlighting our services’ benefits and addressing client needs.

– Negotiate contract terms and pricing to achieve mutually beneficial agreements while adhering to company policies and profitability goals.

– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.

– Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging drug discovery and development technologies.

– Provide regular feedback and insights from the field to inform product development, marketing strategies, and overall business growth.

**Qualifications:**

– Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field); advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) is a plus.

– Proven track record of at least 3 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in the life sciences or pharmaceutical testing services industry.

– Strong understanding of drug discovery processes, chemistry, and biology concepts, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with clients.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility at all levels of an organization.

– Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and quotas.

– Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.

– Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

– Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (up to [X]% travel) to meet with clients and attend industry events.
